Warner Bros Brain Fart Delays Sixth Harry Potter Film

tags: , ,

The sixth Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, was supposed to be released 21 November 2008, but Warner Brothers film studios announced yesterday that the film’s release has been delayed until 17 July 2009, due to a corporate brain fart.
Despite this disappointing news, the winning movie poster was chosen by my readers anyway (see above).

Poster number one was the overwhelming favorite, as you can see from the final poll results;

Meanwhile in other news, millionaire teenaged actress Emma Watson, who plays Harry Potter’s brilliant sidekick, Hermione, earned straight-As in her A-level exams for her three chosen topics; English literature, geography and art. She will take a gap year to pursue acting before attending university.

About GrrlScientist

grrlscientist is the pseudonym of an evolutionary biologist and ornithologist who writes about evolution, ethology, and ecology, especially in birds. After earning a degree in microbiology (thesis focus: virology) and working at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, she earned her PhD in zoology from the University of Washington in Seattle, where she studied the molecular correlates of testosterone and behaviour in white-crowned sparrows. She then worked a Chapman Postdoctoral Fellow at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, where she studied the speciation and distribution of lories and other parrots throughout the South Pacific Islands. A discarded scientist, she returned to her roots: writing. Formerly hosted by The Guardian (UK), she now writes about science for Forbes and for the non-profit think tank, the Evolution Institute and she writes podcasts for BirdNote Radio. An avid lifelong birder and aviculturist, she lives with a flock of songbirds and parrots somewhere in Germany.

    I feel so frustrated as do most Potter fans so I’m taking this opportunity to promote these Potter “cover-fiction” stories.

    Maybe it will help you wait
    ON THE OTHER HAND
    AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WarnerBros SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’M DONE WITH ANYTHING THEY PUT OUT. I’M FINISH WITH THEM. You guys can wait for Half-Blood Prince to come out next summer. I’m not waiting for anything they have anymore

  3. Gindy says:

    They pushed back the release date because the “family oriented distributors” do not want “Harry” answering questions about his role in Equus, a play we all know he appears nude and has sex in.

    I find it interesting that poster #1 got such a huge tally. If it had been poster #6 or 7 would it have fared so well? I think you should have put all the posters out at once. This study is flawed!
